g&g visit

While Papa continues to sail the ocean blue, we had a lot of fun with G&G during their visit.  Grandma's trip was unexpectedly extended by about 24 hours due to mechanical probs with the airplane and then stormy weather.  She has safely made it to MN as of today, and right now Nate is napping and Abby is (sort of) being quiet in her room.  So goes Saturday.  Here are some more pics from last week....

Hayride to the strawberry patch:

Nate loved this tractor.

Grandad & Nate make a good team.

Cherry picking too!

The whole gang on the return hayride.  Nate would soon be getting his hair cut (much to his dismay).

Shaggy smiler.

Yum!  Corn!

Strawberry cake from Suzanne!

Abby telling us all about the bristle block city that she is building.

Motorcycle and sidecar, complete with passengers.

Monkeybars!

Tree climbing

Book reading

Puzzle doing

Tower building

Chain cutting

Back washing (note Nate's new short haircut)

Turtle pushing!  We had a busy week with grandparents!

Makes me remember trips Ben took when the kids were little. Glad your folks could be there to help out. That's a priceless gift. The chain is getting shorter - another set of hands is on the way soon! Take care, and enjoy the summer weather. We're having the rainiest June I have had in a long time, but are hoping for sun before too long. It reminds me of Portland when I was growing up.
Peace, Shari
