ducks and birdies

Nate shows off his Oregon Ducks pride. (Sending big hugs to Dee Dee & Pop Pop!)
A package arrived today from Grandma and Grandad and the major highlight was a pair of mommy's old shoes.... Abigail loves them and announced that she "never, ever, ever, never wants to take them off".  Luckily we coaxed her out of them for bath and bedtime....
Mommy remembers loving wearing these shoes too - pink sparkly birdies, oh my!

more haircuts

2 seconds before this pic was snapped, Nate was wearing both of Abby's rainboots on his hands like mittens, laughing hysterically.
When the camera comes out, things get serious apparently.

Big girl Abigail asked for a super short haircut so that we wouldn't have to blow dry her hair for so long.  This isn't the best pic of the new 'do, but it is the shortest Abigail's hair has been since babyhood!  [Can't resist one more flashback to last time A had short hair....]  Abigail was super well behaved during haircut, in contrast with Mr Hysterical!

Gotcha smiling Natester!  In other Nate-news, we are celebrating one week of pacifier-free living here.  Less separation anxiety with old paci than we had anticipated. Yay Nate!

sweeties

At this almost-4 years and almost-18 months point in time they quibble and quabble over just about anything, but there are few things cuter than when they are in sweet mode together.  Like this sunny afternoon snack time on the porch.
Nate suddenly wants to explore.
Abby has a little cold, but still feeling pretty sweet.
Nate says loud and proud: "Yeah, I like my Halloween jammies.  February, Schmebruary."

dance party

After dinner dancing to the new family favorite "Palo Palo".
Nate grooves to the Latin rhythm.  The camera catches Abby mid-blink.
Singin' along.
After the dance party we were excited to "hangout" via Google+ with Grandad (in Australia) and Grandma and Uncle Dan and Aunt Anna and Walter (chez Walter)... all at the same time!  Very exciting.  Happy Birthday to Grandad (it's already his bday in Australia)!
