building stuff

We are really into building stuff these days. Whether with Legos, our bodies, or plastic hangers and rubber bands .... (that plastic hanger was transformed into an ice skate .... inspired by yesterday's ice skating adventure)

first snow!

Very exciting!

spy note

Just found this note in one of Abby's many "spy notebooks". She's going to be an artist-spy when she grows up. This note says: "Watch out cold going around. Kleenexes overflowing my trash can. Stuffy nose. Lots of kleenexes on floor."

boats

Nate's preschool class is deep into learning about boats these days. Today Nate didn't want to leave school because he was just finishing building this block boat. And behind Nate is the big tugboat that the Rainbows are building out of recycled materials. A weeks long project and a very Big Deal! Toot toot.

light sabers

We are really into Star Wars here ... watch out for the flashlight and tissue paper light sabers. The force is strong with these two.

the dude

Natester in action. Quote from just now playing with trucks and rice/beans/rocks mixture: "That's happiness when your idea works!" Glad Nate's idea worked!

fallish

A chilly bright fall Saturday. Abby and her buddy Ada went to a rainbow fairies craft program at the library and then to the playground. Meanwhile at home .... daylight saving time strikes again. (Also, Jamie's boo boo is getting better. A more careful runner now and keeping an eye out for uneven sidewalks.)
