fairy party
We hosted some of Abby's buddies for a fairy party yesterday... a very festive and fanciful time! Even our house got dressed up.
Fairy masks for anyone who wants one....
A + N fuel up with some lunch before party-time.
Fairy garden making supplies. Glitter was the big winner in the craft department with the sample of 9 girls participating. Note: we will probably be finding colorful superfine glitter in our hair, clothes, carpets, etc for the next several months.
More supplies... fake moss, anyone?
Team effort to produce this fairy garden before the party ... Abby and Nate and Mommy couldn't wait to try everything out.
We named the snacks.
Cupcakes!
The whole gang outside on a springy afternoon. (Tonight it is snowing....oh March.)
SIX
Happy birthday to our big girl Abby! She's getting the day started with some more fairy garden building. We had a fun fairy party with friends yesterday! At this rate we will soon have a fairy village! We love our artistic, fun, big girl!

springy hike
After all of the maple syrup eats and fun we went on a hike to Cunningham Falls. Nate and Rosie spontaneously held hands, Abby and Charlie enjoyed breaking ice with large sticks, and parents got some catch up time while slipping and sliding on the beautiful snowy/slushy trail.
maple syrup festival
Fun times last weekend watching how maple syrup is made! Fun festival also had a hearty and delicious pancake breakfast, live bluegrass music, arts and crafts, and rehabilitating raptors! All of this + good buddies who we don't see often enough + springy weather = Good Times.

playground
Before the next snow! A+ N have invented a game called "smush pie" where they smush together and go backwards down the slide together yelling smush pie. Fun times!
