Abigail lets Nate sit on her lap for a few minutes while he reads his all time favorite book Meeow.  We got our own copy after Nate almost loved the library copy too much.  He will be getting another Meeow book for Christmas (shhhhhh!!).  And please ignore Nate's major drool zone - this is why he usually sports a bib....

This was the same pre-Thanksgiving weekend when Abigail wore her black velvet cat suit all weekend long (brunch!  ballet class!  holiday card making party at our neighbors' house!).  She also at one point found herself rolled up in the porch rug. Oh my!

Thanksgiving always falls at the same time of year as another major event: leaf pickup!  We watched with eager anticipation as the leaf sucking truck got closer and closer to our house and finally was sucking up Our Giant Pile of Leaves!!

Grandma, Grandad, Uncle Dan, Aunt Anna, and Walter all arrived in town...  And also did a good job documenting fun times on their blogs over the weekend....

The picture looks blurry.  The experience felt kind of blurry.  Three kids three and under make for high energy days!

As Abigail and Walter say... the early bird gets the worm.  Nate wisely chose to continue napping until just as dinner was being served.

Today friends, Nate learned to walk!!!  Yay Nate!  No photo documentation yet, but soon.  For now, a look back at some recent crawling / sitting days....

So much fun with the cat costume that Grandma found for Abigail.  It's purrrrrrfect.

PS - do you ever wonder what we were up to 1 year ago, 2 years ago, and 3 years ago?  We do!  Enjoy Flashback Monday!

fall back ... again???

Daylight savings time sets in and we find ourselves swinging at the playground...

...pulling Mommy's hair....

...kicking buddy Achilles' soccer ball...

... spending some quality time in the Kitchen Helper...

...Nate kept himself busy eating frozen peas and cheerios the whole time it took Mommy to make dinner - GO NATE! ....

... the "candy fairy" came and took all of Abigail's Halloween candy away and left a cool new coloring book and markers in exchange.  CandyFairy is saving the candy for next year, looks like Tinkerbell, has a quiet voice, and is very very nice if Abigail happens to ask you about her....

Nate can think of nothing he'd rather do than squeeze into Abigail's chair with her and help her color!  "Yes please!!" he says!

Some sweet smiles right before Nate tried to grab something that BELONGS TO ABIGAIL and a fleeting moment of extreme sadness passed over this jolly scene!
