shades

We are shy on photos these days with our trusty camera on a boat someplace in the Pacific Ocean steaming towards the Galapagos with Papa. Here's a semi-recent pic. Will raid Grandma's camera for more before she flies home tomorrow!

trash day

So exciting to watch the trash trucks! We had to move breakfast from the table to by the door.

sat-r-day

It was "L week" last week for Abby's preschool class.  She got a good start to the day with her waffle pieces in an L-shape.

Braids: Abby's new favorite hairstyle.

Kiddos get ready to go to the playground in the old double stroller that Abby & Akaash used to use when we did a nanny share!

Exciting!

This gang gave mommy 1.5 hours at home by herself to get stuff done....major laundry, sorting, cleaning, etc accomplished.  Papa is jetting off tomorrow on his "research cruise" during which he will be spending almost 3 weeks maintaining sea buoys and other things like that off the coast of Chile & Ecuador.... Good thing Grandma & Grandad are coming next week to be some extra hands on deck and keep mommy sane!

happy mother's day

Happy mother's day to all those moms out there, especially "Jane King squared" in Oregon.  We had a beautiful May day for mother's day this year..and hope it was the same there!

Nate still finds sign language to be the most effective way of communicating "MORE"

Off for a stroll.

No passenger?  No problem!

Pause to pick flowers.  Natester loves to pick flowers.

Back and forth, back and forth we go.

But look who we ran into on one of our trips up the block!  Papa and Abby returning from the store!  Oh my.

Post dinner backyard imaginary games...you can't see doll "Mary" but she is behind Abby in the baby seat of Abby's bike.

And what would mother's day be for a mom of a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old without some mischief moments? YIKES!

outside

It has been such a nice long spring!  Hooray for beers and corn being brought home by bike!

And a field trip to the zoo!

Metro ride to the zoo!

Hello zoogoers.

Watch out world, here come the Stars!

A pair of orangutangs walked on the "O-Line" right above the walking path that the Stars were on!

Last weekend we went to Brookside with some buddies.  Nate and Rosie are EXACTLY the same age.  You can catch up on some of their previous adventures here and here.  Rosie loves big girls and is trying to give an oblivious Abigail something here. Nate is puzzled as to why Rosie would ever attempt to try to capture the attention of Big Sister who is in charge of everything!

Intrepid explorers checking out the marshy patch.

Rosie's dad, Jon, achieves celebrity status with the 1.5 year old set by being the Keeper of the Watermelon Chunks.

More watermelon please, say Rosie & Nate.  Hi Auntie Clare!!

Three sticky monkeys.
